Donor, an advertising agency based in Detroit that has been around for over 85 years embarked on a rebranding path to pioneer a new age of advertising, driven by innovation, boldness and tradition. Their in-house team redesigned the logo and they turned to us to create a rich visual language around it. Our team worked to infuse Donor’s visual identity with agility and joy, leveraging a collaborative approach with vendor partners to create generative art that complements Donor’s brand and expands it into today’s culture. This case study showcases how Donor’s visual identity was transformed to reflect its evolving brand ethos while staying true to its roots.

We used Doner’s bold and iconic symbol as a vessel for storytelling. Nimble and always evolving, it mirrors the brand’s flexibility and adaptability, shifting, duplicating, reshaping, and converting into various shapes and forms. A rich set of colors, patterns and photography treatments enhance the visual language and brand expression and gives Doner team a good set of elements to ensure brand consistency across all Donor materials.
By redefining Donor’s visual language and giving them the tools to implement the new look to every aspect of their business, we created a new company culture that honors its rich legacy and propels it into the forefront of the modern advertising era.
